Olam Group has announced a definitive agreement to divest its 100 per cent stake in Mindsprint Pte. Ltd. to Wipro Limited for a cash consideration of $375 million, subject to closing adjustments. The move forms part of Olam’s Updated 2025 Re-organisation Plan, aimed at monetising assets and delivering value to shareholders through phased divestments and special dividends.
Alongside the sale, Olam has entered into an eight-year strategic transformation partnership with Wipro, committing an annual spend of $100 million, representing approximately 55–60 per cent of its total yearly technology and shared services expenditure.
As part of the engagement, Wipro will deliver end-to-end transformation services using a consulting-led, AI-powered approach. Central to this will be the deployment of Wipro Intelligence, the company’s unified suite of AI-driven platforms and solutions, designed to accelerate digital transformation across industries.
The partnership will support Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain transformation, spanning key areas such as farming, manufacturing, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations, and customer engagement. The initiative is expected to enhance operational efficiency, improve resilience, and drive long-term growth.
Following the transaction, Mindsprint will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wipro, with its existing leadership team, led by CEO Suresh Sundararajan, continuing to steer the business. This continuity is expected to ensure stability while enabling the company to scale its capabilities globally.
Mindsprint currently employs over 3,200 professionals and delivers technology, cybersecurity, and digital transformation services across sectors, including food and agribusiness, manufacturing, retail, CPG, and healthcare, serving enterprise clients in the US, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East.
Commenting on the development, Sunny Verghese, Co-Founder and CEO of Olam Group, said the transaction marks a significant milestone in the company’s restructuring journey, enabling it to sharpen its focus on core operations while unlocking long-term shareholder value.
Mindsprint CEO Suresh Sundararajan highlighted that joining Wipro would enable the company to scale its domain-led transformation capabilities globally, while continuing to deliver value to Olam and its broader client base.
Meanwhile, Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, said the partnership strengthens Wipro’s capabilities in the food and agribusiness sector and expands the reach of its AI-driven offerings.
The deal underscores the growing role of AI-powered platforms in transforming complex global supply chains, particularly in the food and agriculture sector, where data-driven decision-making and operational agility are becoming critical competitive differentiators.
