Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, announced the successful completion of a cloud-enabled agentic AI proof of concept using Google’s Gemini models to help Incore Bank accelerate customer onboarding support with a fully automated risk assessment.
For banks, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes are critical to meeting regulatory requirements, managing risk, and delivering a better customer experience. Yet customer onboarding and risk assessment often require teams to gather, verify and reconcile evidence from multiple documents, systems and data sources while maintaining auditable records throughout the customer lifecycle. When these steps rely on manual handoffs, onboarding can slow down, inhibiting the customer experience, while compliance teams spend significant time on repetitive work.
To address these challenges, Incore Bank worked with Kyndryl and Google Cloud to demonstrate through a proof of concept how agentic AI can support a more efficient, explainable, fully auditable and human-governed KYC process.
By applying Kyndryl’s Agentic AI Framework with Google’s Gemini models and its agentic AI capabilities, the solution introduces a semantic layer with Kyndryl policy-as-code capability and guardrail agents. This enables end-to-end customer risk assessments across onboarding and ongoing reviews, while continuously monitoring for changes in customer circumstances. The solution brings together multiple AI agents that work across structured and unstructured data, internal systems, and trusted external sources. They support the extraction and validation of customer information, evidence gathering, risk-factor identification, explainable risk scoring, and the creation of auditable decision records for compliance professionals.
“At Incore Bank, we believe innovation must go hand in hand with trust, transparency and strong regulatory governance,” says Mark Dambacher, CEO, Incore Bank. “The proof of concept we completed with Kyndryl and Google Cloud shows how cloud-enabled agentic AI can help banks assess both prospective and existing customers more efficiently while maintaining the rigorous oversight and controls required in a regulated environment. By reducing manual effort and supporting consistent, transparent decision-making, the solution has the potential to strengthen customer risk management across the entire customer lifecycle.”
