Women in Cloud has launched the #FoundHerWorld initiative in India, aiming to accelerate economic participation and AI readiness among women entrepreneurs in the country’s fast-growing startup ecosystem.
The initiative is part of the organisation’s larger mission to unlock $1 billion in economic access for women and allies by 2030. Through #FoundHerWorld, Women in Cloud plans to help women founders gain greater visibility, improve access to capital and partnerships, and strengthen the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies.
The launch comes at a time when India is emerging as one of the world’s most dynamic AI startup hubs, while women-led ventures continue to face challenges in accessing funding and procurement opportunities. According to industry estimates cited by the organisation, women entrepreneurs globally receive only a small fraction of venture capital funding and have limited access to the multi-trillion-dollar procurement ecosystem despite delivering strong business returns.
Chaitra Vedullapalli, President and Co-founder of Women in Cloud, said the initiative is designed to ensure women founders are not left behind in the AI-driven economy.
“We are extremely delighted to announce the launch of #FoundHerWorld at a time when India’s startup ecosystem is growing at a rapid pace. This comes at a critical point when we are adapting to the AI way of life and the future will belong to those who will have seamless access to AI,” she said.
According to the organisation, #FoundHerWorld will focus on addressing three key challenges faced by women founders in India — limited discoverability, restricted access to funding networks, and the widening AI adoption gap.
The initiative seeks to create structured pathways for mentorship, capital access, community engagement and AI enablement, helping women entrepreneurs participate more effectively in technology-led value creation and global innovation ecosystems.
