H.E. Mr. Jan Christian Vestre, Minister of Health and Care Services, Norway, delivered an inspiring address at the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, urging global leaders to seize this moment to shape a healthier and more resilient world. His remarks echoed the Summit’s central theme, Futurise, reinforcing the urgency of reimagining systems, technologies and partnerships for the decades ahead.
Speaking in Bengaluru, which he described as “India’s pulsating capital of innovation”, the Minister expressed his admiration for the city’s dynamic technology ecosystem and its influence on global progress. He emphasised that the healthcare sector must evolve with purpose and pace to meet humanity’s rising expectations, and that innovation will be the deciding factor in how effectively countries secure long-term wellbeing for their citizens.
Mr Vestre underscored that businesses remain the backbone of any resilient future, noting that strategic cooperation between nations, industry and healthcare systems is essential. He highlighted the importance of digitalisation, data-driven innovation and forward-looking policy frameworks in strengthening global preparedness.
Calling for deeper international collaboration, he stressed that shared challenges require shared solutions. “When we come together as global partners, our collective progress accelerates,” he stated, encouraging countries to align efforts and co-create the next generation of health innovation.
His message concluded on a hopeful and unifying note — an invitation for governments, industry and innovators to rise together and build a future anchored in health, compassion and technological excellence.
