Taipei/Tokyo — Primax Electronics Ltd., a global original design manufacturer specialising in AI sensor fusion, has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan-based Vieureka Inc., a leading developer of edge AI solutions. The two firms will jointly create an advanced edge AI camera designed to enhance performance and streamline remote management across industries.

The new camera system will merge Primax’s high-performance AI hardware with the Vieureka Platform, providing integrated AI processing and secure, centralised control. The collaboration seeks to address practical challenges faced in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and smart facilities, by enabling flexible, intelligent on-site operations.

Jason Hsu, Vice President and Head of the Vision Solutions Group at Primax, said the partnership aims to “combine high-performance imaging technology with a versatile AI platform to deliver next-generation smart solutions on a global scale.”

At the heart of the system lies a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) optimised for low-power, high-efficiency computer vision. The Vieureka Platform will allow operators to update, train, and fine-tune AI models remotely — maintaining safety and consistency across deployments.
