BRAHMA AI and Hakuhodo Technologies have announced a strategic partnership to develop, commercialise, and deploy high-fidelity AI-powered digital humans across Japan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, marking a significant step toward enterprise adoption of lifelike virtual humans.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), combines BRAHMA AI's digital human technology with Hakuhodo DY Group's creative capabilities, regional market expertise, and extensive enterprise network. Together, the companies aim to deliver culturally adaptive, enterprise-ready digital human solutions for industries including media, entertainment, retail, and customer engagement.
Under the agreement, the partners will jointly develop and deploy advanced AI-powered digital humans, including interactive models capable of supporting customer engagement, branded storytelling, and immersive digital experiences.
Developing next-generation AI-powered digital human technologies, including interactive models.
Delivering AI products and services tailored to the Japanese market.
Commercialising lifelike enterprise digital humans, branded as ATMANs.
Creating new formats for storytelling, branded content, and immersive customer experiences.
Integrating ATMAN digital humans into Hakuhodo DY Group-led campaigns and digital platforms.
Expanding enterprise applications across industries and intellectual property (IP) owners throughout Japan and the broader APAC region.
Creative and engineering teams from both companies will work together on concept development, AI model refinement, and culturally nuanced content designed for regional audiences.
The partnership builds on an earlier collaboration that demonstrated the commercial potential of high-fidelity digital humans. One of the most notable projects involved recreating the digital likeness of legendary Japanese singer Hibari Misora using proprietary AI models known as ATMANs, trained on archival video and audio recordings.
The AI-generated digital performer appeared in the BS Nippon TV special Hibari Misora Brought Back in the Reiwa Era, broadcast in January 2026, performing alongside contemporary artists. The project highlighted how generative AI and digital human technologies can preserve cultural heritage while enabling new forms of entertainment and audience engagement.
Beyond entertainment, the two companies see significant opportunities for AI-powered digital humans in enterprise communication, marketing, customer service, and brand engagement.
The partnership aims to accelerate enterprise adoption of digital humans by delivering scalable, culturally localised AI experiences capable of supporting organisations across multiple sectors. By combining advanced AI with creative storytelling and regional market expertise, BRAHMA AI and Hakuhodo Technologies intend to establish a new category of AI-driven communication that blends human-like interaction with enterprise-scale deployment.
As digital humans continue to evolve from experimental technology into practical business solutions, the collaboration reflects a broader industry trend toward AI-powered virtual brand ambassadors, customer-facing assistants, and immersive content experiences tailored to local languages, cultures, and markets.
