Deloitte announced that it has acquired all of the assets of Wavicle Data Solutions, a top-tier data and AI engineering organization with a market-leading Databricks practice. This acquisition accelerates Deloitte's already robust capability to help clients build AI-ready data foundations that power enterprise AI at scale, as well as positions Deloitte as a leading enterprise orchestrator for Databricks.
The Wavicle organization brings deep knowledge of managing Databricks on all major hyperscalers, in addition to possessing industry-specific data engineering skills in areas such as consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences and healthcare. Deloitte clients will benefit from these industry-specific skills as well as from accelerated engineering delivery at scale, as forward-deployed engineers will help build these custom, industry-specific solutions within a Databricks-centric multi-alliance portfolio.
"Together, Deloitte and Wavicle can help clients strengthen their data foundations and translate AI into lasting business value, faster and at scale," said Jason Salzetti, chair and CEO, Deloitte Consulting LLP. "This is a new, powerful combination for our clients that can address some of the data roadblocks to their AI-enabled transformations. This acquisition gives us even greater capabilities as we continue shaping the future of AI-enabled transformation."
"Deloitte and Wavicle align in a multitude of ways, and that makes this an exciting opportunity for us. Our purpose has always been to make AI work for enterprises that build the real economy and make an impact on people's lives. Combining our technical leadership and engineering talent with Deloitte's impressive AI and Engineering business will help us deliver AI-powered, innovation-centered, data-strong futures for our clients across industries and sectors," said Naveen Venkatapathi, managing director for Wavicle.
