Anthropic has announced a massive $65 billion Series H funding round led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, valuing the AI company at $965 billion post-money. The latest investment underscores accelerating global demand for Anthropic’s Claude AI models across enterprise and consumer applications.
The company said adoption of Claude has continued to grow rapidly since its previous funding round in February, with enterprises increasingly deploying the AI platform across mission-critical business operations. Anthropic also revealed that its run-rate revenue surpassed $47 billion earlier this month, reflecting the growing commercialisation of generative AI technologies across industries.
According to the company, the new funding will be used to advance AI safety and interpretability research, expand compute infrastructure to support rising demand for Claude, and strengthen product development and strategic partnerships.
“Claude is increasingly indispensable to our growing global community of customers, and we work tirelessly to make tools like Claude Code and Cowork more helpful, more powerful, and more adaptable to their needs,” said Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic. “This funding will help us serve the historic demand we are experiencing, stay at the research frontier, and bring Claude to more of the places where work happens.”
The funding round was co-led by Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN, alongside participation from several major global investors, including Blackstone, Fidelity, General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Temasek, and DST Global. The round also includes $15 billion in previously committed investments from hyperscalers, including $5 billion from Amazon.
Anthropic further announced expanded strategic infrastructure partnerships with semiconductor and memory technology companies, including Micron, Samsung, and SK hynix to strengthen AI compute capacity amid surging enterprise adoption.
As part of its infrastructure expansion, Anthropic signed agreements with Amazon for up to five gigawatts of additional compute capacity, alongside new partnerships with Google and Broadcom for next-generation TPU infrastructure. The company also secured access to GPU capacity through SpaceX’s Colossus 1 and Colossus 2 systems.
Anthropic said Claude has now become the first frontier AI model available across Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, with AWS continuing as its primary cloud provider and training partner.
Industry investors highlighted Anthropic’s growing influence in the enterprise AI market and its position in the rapidly evolving generative AI ecosystem.

The announcement reflects intensifying global competition among frontier AI companies as they race to secure infrastructure, talent, and enterprise customers while scaling increasingly compute-intensive AI models.
