Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 Opens with Global Leaders, Ambitious Policy Vision and a Strong Push for Future Innovation

A global audience gathers in Bengaluru to explore new opportunities in AI, space, health technology and next generation entrepreneurship.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 opened  with a powerful call for global collaboration and next generation innovation, setting the tone for one of the most influential technology gatherings in Asia. The twenty eighth edition of the summit is organised by the Department of Electronics, IT and Bt, Government of Karnataka, together with the Software Technology Parks of India.

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 opened today with a compelling emphasis on global cooperation and future ready innovation, reinforcing its position as one of Asia’s most influential technology gatherings. The 28th edition of the summit is organised by the Department of Electronics IT and Bt Government of Karnataka in partnership with the Software Technology Parks of India.

 

 

Inauguration and distinguished guests

The summit was inaugurated by Shri Siddaramaiah Hon Chief Minister of Karnataka. The ceremony was held in the august presence of Shri D K Shivakumar Hon Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Siddaramaiah said,
“Bengaluru has always stood for imagination and possibility. Bengaluru Tech Summit continues to demonstrate how innovation can uplift society strengthen the economy and open new frontiers of opportunity for our young people. Karnataka will lead India’s next wave of inclusive technology growth.”

Shri D K Shivakumar added,
“Technology is not only transforming industries but reshaping governance delivery and employment. Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 highlights Karnataka’s readiness to partner globally invest boldly and build the world’s most future ready digital and industrial ecosystem.”

In his remarks, Shri Priyank Kharge noted,
“Our ambition is clear. Karnataka is not just participating in global innovation but shaping it. Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 brings together leaders who are building the next decade of DeepTech biotechnology AI and space technologies. This platform shows how India can pole vault into the future.”

Shri M B Patil emphasised the state’s industrial vision, stating,
“We are strengthening manufacturing capabilities advanced materials infrastructure and talent pipelines. Karnataka is where global companies find both stability and scale and this summit amplifies those strengths.”

Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw said,
“Bengaluru continues to evolve as a powerhouse for science and enterprise. Collaboration across biotechnology health technology AI and engineering will define the next decade of innovation and this summit enables those collaborations to flourish.”

Kris Gopalakrishnan added,
“The convergence of DeepTech digital infrastructure and entrepreneurship makes this summit uniquely impactful. India now stands at a moment where innovation can accelerate national transformation.”

Opening plenary India Futurises

The inaugural plenary titled India Futurises examined India’s shift from leapfrogging to true pole vaulting in technology led economic growth. The discussion featured Shri Priyank Kharge Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and Shri Prashanth Prakash who outlined India’s expanding global role in DeepTech innovation scale and sustainability.

Earlier this week a curtain raiser set the momentum for the summit with Shri Priyank Kharge joined by senior officials Shri Sharath Kumar Bache Gowda Dr Manjula N Secretary Department of Electronics IT Bt and Science and Technology and Shri Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur Director Department of Electronics IT and Bt and Managing Director KITS. Shri Kharge reiterated the summit’s transformation into a global stage for innovation spanning information technology biotechnology space technologies and sustainability.

Future Makers Conclave to draw 10,000 participants

A major addition to this year’s programme is The Future Makers Conclave a large scale gathering designed for founders investors and innovators. Nearly 10,000 participants are expected with sessions focused on capital access pilot opportunities mentorship and market visibility for the expanding start up ecosystem.

Ten specialised conference tracks under the theme Futurise

Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 features 10 dedicated conference tracks covering DeepTech biotechnology and health technology electro semiconductor advancements India United States collaborations global innovation partnerships artificial intelligence defence and space technology financial technology academia industry linkages assistive technology and women in leadership.

The summit is expected to welcome more than 50,000 visitors including 15,000 delegates 1,000 investors 500 speakers and 1,000 exhibitors. More than 80 knowledge sessions and 5,000 curated meetings are scheduled. Delegations from more than 60 countries and all Indian states and union territories will participate.

Industry pioneers and global innovators participating include Manu Saale Mercedes Benz Research and Development India Viren Prasad Shetty Narayana Health Dror Bin Israel Innovation Authority filmmaker Shekhar Kapur Kirthiga Reddy Verix and OptimizeGEO and Ruchir Dixit Siemens EDA.

Strong international participation in 2025

Australia is the Country Partner while NRW Global Business from Germany and Norway are featured as Country Focus Partners. Poland participates as the Bronze Partner and Italy joins as the Country Presence Partner. Delegations from the United States Cuba Uruguay Russia the United Kingdom Israel Belgium Finland France the European Union Dubai Sharjah South Korea Japan Singapore and Thailand are present.

Within India Madhya Pradesh is the State Partner and Odisha is the Co State Partner. DPIIT Startup India supports the summit as the Startup Partner.

Grand finale on 20 November with the Future Makers Conclave

The summit will conclude on 20 November with the Future Makers Conclave which will highlight entrepreneurial journeys investment announcements in emerging DeepTech and AI ventures the Karnataka Unicorn Founders Felicitation and the Elevate Awards 2025. Featured speakers include Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla Astronaut and Test Pilot author and entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo Zepto Co Founder Kaivalya Vohra and sports icons Sania Mirza and Richa Ghosh. The evening will also include a special performance by Voctronica and Suhani Shah.

Platforms to accelerate innovation and capital

The summit hosts Investor Connect for curated interactions between start ups and investors and Mentor Connect which offers one to one guidance from industry leaders. Both platforms aim to accelerate access to capital strategic support and cross border opportunities for emerging technology ventures.
